What to expect
Given that the Killing Fields are far away from the city (about a 50-minute drive from Night Market), we operate only three departures daily. We suggest choosing morning departures to make the most of your afternoon exploring additional attractions. If you prefer an afternoon departure, you'll still have time to enjoy the Riverfront's nightlife, including the Night Market and a river cruise, after the tour.
Please note that the tour price does NOT include entry tickets, audio guides or live guides at the sites. Be sure to bring cash to purchase entry tickets and guides. Please find here the price info of the attractions:

8:00 AM Departure from Riverfront
We will start at the Night Market (please wait under the main signage) with pick-up at 7:50 AM. If your hotel or hostel is not located near or in the areas mentioned below, please come to the Night Market for pick-up. We will then pick up guests from other hotels or hostels located near Riverside, Central Market, Royal Palace, and in the BKK and Kirrirom districts. The tour will commence once all hotel pick-ups are complete.
The first site to visit is Prison S21 (Genocide Museum), where you will have 80 minutes to explore. After the museum visit, please wait near the ticket office for pick up, then we will proceed to the Killing Fields, which is 15 km south of Phnom Penh and takes about 30 minutes to reach. You will have 75 minutes at the Killing Fields.
We will leave Killing Fields around 12:30 PM and be back to Night Market about 1:30pm.
If you wish to visit Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda in the afternoon, we will drop you off near Royal Palace at the riverfront. There, you may enjoy lunch before visiting the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda, which are open from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM. In the evening, you can embark on a sunset cruise starting at 5:00 PM, followed by souvenir shopping at the Night Market, open daily from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
If you prefer not to visit the Royal Palace, we can drop you off at your hotel or hostel.
9:30am Departure from Riverfront
We will start with pick-up at the Night Market (please wait under the main signage) at 9:15 AM. If your hotel or hostel is not located near or in the areas mentioned below, please come to the Night Market for pick-up. We will then pick up guests from other hotels or hostels located near Riverside, Central Market, Royal Palace, and in the BKK and Kirrirom districts. The tour will commence once all hotel pick-ups are complete.
The first site to visit is the Killing Fields, which is 15 km south of Phnom Penh and takes about 40-50 minutes to drive to. You will have 75 minutes to explore the Killing Fields. We will then drive back to the city to visit the second site, Prison S21 (Genocide Museum), where you will have 80 minutes to visit.
When you finish the visit of the prison, please wait near the ticket office for pick up.
If you wish to visit Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda in the afternoon, we will drop you off at Royal Palace, which is open from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM. In the evening, you may join a sunset cruise beginning at 5:00 PM, followed by souvenir shopping at the Night Market, which operates daily from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
If you choose not to visit Royal Palace, we can drop you off at your hotel or hostel.

If your hotel or hostel is not located near or in the areas mentioned below, please come to the Night Market for pick-up. We will then pick up guests from other hotels or hostels located near Riverside, Central Market, Royal Palace, and in the BKK and Kirrirom districts. The tour will commence once all hotel pick-ups are complete.

If you wish to visit the Night Market or enjoy an evening river cruise, we will drop you off at night market. You may choose to have dinner at the riverfront or embark on a dinner cruise, or leisurely stroll along the riverfront promenade, followed by souvenir shopping at the Night Market, which is open daily till 11:00 PM.
If you prefer not to visit Riverfront, we can drop you off at your hotel or hostel.

Additional Info
There are three options for visiting Prison S21:
1.Audio Guide ($5): Rent an audio guide with interviews, detailed explanations, and availability in 10 languages (English, Français, Deutsch, Nederlands, Italiano, Español, 中文, 한국인, 日本語, Tiếng, Việt ). It provides comprehensive insights into the exhibits and the history of the Khmer Rouge regime.
2.Live Guide ($3-$5): Hire an in-house live guide for a more interactive experience. A live guide offers detailed knowledge, answers questions, and shares personal stories to enhance your visit. Live guide service is only in English and French.
3.Self-Guided: Explore the museum on your own with plenty of written information, including placards and signage. This option allows you to move at your own pace and focus on areas of interest.
Regarding the audio guide at the prison, there are two versions available: the Highlight version and the Long version. The Highlight version, marked in red on the guide map, lasts approximately 60 minutes. We recommend this version for those participating in our tour. The Long version, which lasts about 120 minutes, is more suitable for private tours. If you wish to delve deeper into the history of the Khmer Rouge and spend more time at the museum, a private tour is recommended.
When renting the audio guide, please begin your tour promptly and maintain a steady pace between stops. Avoid spending excessive time at any one stop to ensure you complete the tour within the allocated time. Return to the bus at the time specified by the bus attendant.
You will have approximately 80 minutes to visit the museum, which most visitors find sufficient.
* if you are very interested in the history of Khmer Rouge regime and really want to spend more time at the museum, we would like to suggest you to take a full day private tour.
There are two options for visiting the Killing Fields:
1.Audio Guide ($3): Rent an audio guide with interviews, detailed explanations, and availability in 14 languages (English, Français, Deutsch, Nederlands, Italiano, Español, Pусский, Svenska, 中文, แบบไทย, 한국인, 日本語, Melayu, Tiếng, Việt ).
2.Self-Guided: Explore the Killing Fields on your own with maps and informational signs to help guide you through the various areas, including the memorial stupa, mass graves, and excavation sites.
Please choose the option that best suits your preferences and budget for a richer experience.
Please note that our bus tour is distinct from a tuktuk tour. Our tour is designed with Western tourists in mind, focusing on comfort, safety, and a richer experience compared to a tuk-tuk, with an English-speaking bus attendant who provides general assistance. Our service includes air-conditioned transportation, audio commentary and documentaries on board, as well as Wi-Fi and drinking water. We understand that our tour may be more expensive than a tuk-tuk ride, but we aim to provide a more comfortable, comprehensive, informative, and safe experience.

About Hotel Pick Up
Please submit your hotel details when you make a booking, as some hotels are not within our pickup zone due to traffic conditions.
We do free hotel pick up if your hotel is located:

- near Independence monument
- near Aeon Mall
- in Kirirom district (due to traffic conditions, guests stay at hotels in this area will be advised to go to G Mekong Hotel for pick up. These hotels are: Orussey One Hotel, Sim Boutique Hotel, V Hotel, etc)
- in BKK district
Please note that Sokha Hotel is not in our pick up zone due to traffic condition.
Guests who stay at Sokha Hotel and other hotels located in outer North from Street 90 and outer North East from Monivong Blvd and Kumpuchea Krom Blvd are advised to come to Night Market at Riverside (under the signage) for pick up at 7:50am, 9:15am or 1:15pm.
If your hotel is not within our pick up zone, you will be contacted by our booking office and advised of the meeting point.
If you stay at a residential address within our pick up zone, you will be advised to go to a hotel nominated by our office for pick up as residential address is difficult to find.

Morning departures:
Please finish your breakfast before pick up time. If you have not finished your breakfast, our bus won't wait for you because this is a shared tour, there are other passengers on the bus and there are other hotel pick ups.
*Please note that driving time from Riverfront to Prison S21 is about 20 min depending on the traffic, driving from Prison S21 to The Killing Fields is about 30 min depending on the traffic.
